John A. LaRocca took over his fathers busy construction firm in 1969. As part of his construction and development activities he began inspecting buildings in 1979. In 1986 Mr. LaRocca made property inspection his main activity. He inspected thousands of structures following the 1994 earthquake including an investigation of the deadly collapse of the Northridge Meadows building.
He is a Past President of San Fernando Valley Chapter of the California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA) and the Founding President of the Los Angeles Mid Valley Chapter. He is currently the President of LaRocca Inspection Associates. Mr. LaRocca volunteered for 3 years as a Committee Chairman on a local Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, receiving awards from the Mayor’s office and City Council for his work. He donates a significant percentage of his yearly earnings to churches and various charities including the Hollywood Education and Literacy Program, The Way to Happiness Campaign and others.
Mr. LaRocca educates buyers, sellers and real estate professionals on the property inspection process delivering approximately 120 seminars a year. He has written many articles for the Daily News & other local papers and his company has been featured in a variety of radio and television shows including Bravo TV’s hit show “Million Dollar Listing”.
