James Litz has been Government Affairs Director of the Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Association of REALTORS (“BHGLAAR”) since 1996. BHGLAAR serves the Greater Los Angeles Basin including the cities of Beverly Hills, Culver City, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and West Hollywood. James was Chair of the California Association of REALTORS Government Affairs Directors and President of the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in 2000. From 1989 to 1997 he served on the Planning Commission for the City of West Hollywood and was Chair overseeing the creation and implementation of the City’s award winning Sunset Specific Plan. In 2007, James was bestowed the “Lifetime Achievement Award” by the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. James’ past and present community involvement includes Director, Homestead Hospice & Shelter; Director, Los Angeles County Boards of Real Estate; Director, West Hollywood Community Alliance; Director, Project New Hope; Director, Westside Economic Collaborative (“WEC”); Chair, Government Affairs Committee, West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce; Chair, Government Affairs Directors, California Association of REALTORS; and Member, Save our Sheriffs (“SOS”) Committee. He is a graduate of San Francisco State University with a Degree in Real Estate Finance.
