Rosanne Howard – President of The MLS

Rosanne Howard has been a real estate broker for more than 30 years and joined Sotheby’s International Realty as an associate broker in 1996. A top producing agent, Rosanne has consistently been listed in the top 2% for sales in her company. During her career, she has transacted over $400,000 million in property sales. She specializes in properties on the Westside of Los Angeles including Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Sunset Strip and Westwood. Prior to joining Sotheby’s International Realty, Rosanne worked for 19 years in two other firms in Brentwood and Beverly Hills, both of which specialized in prestigious properties.
She was the 2004 President of the Beverly Hills Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors. Prior to joining the executive team she served on their Board of Directors for five years, and also served on the Grievance and Professional Standards Committees and the Strategic Planning, Licensing and Compliance Committees of the Combined Los Angeles Westside Multiple Listing Service (CLAW). She is now serving as 2012 President of the Multiple Listing Service Board, where she has been a director for four years and Vice President for three years. She is director of the statewide California Association of Realtors (CAR) and also a past director on the National Board of Realtors (NAR). In 2005, Rosanne was honored to be chosen as Realtor of the Year by her colleagues.
In 2006, Rosanne earned her Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation. In 2008, she received the Real Estate Industry Leader Award from the Los Angeles Business Journal.
As president, she spearheaded a fund raising campaign and raised $100,000 for the Beverly Hills Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors to sponsor the building of a Habitat for Humanity home, which was built and dedicated to a deserving family in 2004. Rosanne supports and has worked for the following charitable organizations: Habitat for Humanity Los Angeles, American Foundation for AIDS Research, AIDS Project Los Angeles and the American Heart Association. She was appointed to Vice Chair of the Housing Affordability Committee of the California Association of Realtors and Vice-chair of the California EXPO Advisory Committee, and now serves as an Issues Chair in Transaction and Regulatory, a policy committee. Rosanne earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Skidmore College in Chemistry and Biology, and a Master of Science degree from Purdue University in Genetics. Prior to her real estate career, she was a chemistry teacher. She did her research in genetic mutations and published her research in the journal Genetics.
