Monte Howard has specialized in Reverse Mortgages for 11 years. He is currently heads up the Reverse Mortgage Division at BluFi Lending, a mortgage bank with its corporate office in Carlsbad and served as Director of Affinity marketing at top-10 lender, Generation Mortgage. In addition to traditional reverse mortgages, Monte is a leading authority on the newer HECM reverse home purchase program. In 2009, he wrote the first HECM Purchase application in history and has since addressed such groups as the Mortgage Bankers Association Annual Conference on the HECM home purchase program. He has been quoted in such publications as the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times and Reverse Mortgage Daily. In addition to his work with reverse mortgages, Monte is Executive Director of Empowering the Human Spirit Foundation 501 (c)(3), a nonprofit foundation that provides tuitions to personal growth programs for troubled teens and is a Founding Member of the Senior Network of Associated Professionals or, SNAP. He lives in North San Diego County with his wife, Shelau and has two grown children.
